I was a reporting student at Northern Technical School of Business in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the first time I heard about John E. Connor and Associates.  It was from John Connor’s son, Jim, who was also a student.  While I had my sights set on an officialship, I accepted an invitation to intern in Indianapolis at the Connor firm.  I then returned to school, graduated, and six days later Mr. Connor offered me a position with his firm.  I accepted and began a career that has taught me to strive for excellence and has provided countless opportunities in return.

Court ReporterOver the years I have reported depositions, hearings, trials, executive council meetings, press conferences, and conventions throughout the United States, in Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.  As a convention reporter, I am privileged to have reported U.S. Presidents, Vice Presidents, other high-ranking political officials, and celebrities too numerous to count.

While my list of Wows is lengthy, it is the people that I have been privileged to work for and with that have brought me the greatest joy.  Meeting new people, working with favorite clients, and learning something new is what continues to make every day exciting.

I am a member of the National Court Reporters Association, the Indiana Court Reporters Association, and the Society for the Technological Advancement of Reporting. I have just completed a term serving on NCRA’s Proofreading Advisory Council, proofreading print and electronic articles prior to publication.  I served as INCRA’s convention committee chair, vice president, president, and now serve as its immediate past president.

My husband, Pete, is a Certified Legal Videographer with Connor Reporting, so it’s truly a family affair when we work as a team in depositions.  2018 found us building our Happily Ever After home. We are settling in and enjoying the unpacking and decorating process.  Our free time finds us traveling, exploring new cities, and finding a lake with a pontoon.  We are Living the Dream!

I am proud to say this past April I celebrated my 40th anniversary as a Team Connor reporter and look forward to the many years yet to come.  Connor Reporting continues to provide me a career I could never have imagined.  I am one lucky lady!
